| December 28, 2005 8:00 PM

John Fremont (Jack) Bristol, 78, died Dec. 22 after a long illness. Born in Bellingham, Oct. 20, 1927 to Wade and Ethel Bristol, Jack was raised in Bremerton, where he graduated from high school. He served in the Army for two years and then worked in many fields; including the post office, Hanford and Boeing before finally settling into his Farmer's Insurance business for 30 years, where he worked with his wife, Sheila, in Edmonds. When Jack retired from the insurance business he and Sheila moved to Moses Lake.

Happiest in the outdoors, Jack enjoyed the Olympic Peninsula where he hiked every trail and fished the streams. He loved being with family and friends, playing games and cards and telling hunting and fishing stories.

Jack is survived by Sheila, his wife of 57 years, their children, Jacqueline and Michael; nephew and niece Gregory and Marla Huff. He will be missed and remembered fondly by numerous family members, friends and business associates. Services will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be contributed to Leader Dogs for the Blind. Checks should be made out to Leader Dogs for the Blind and sent to the Moses Lake Lions Club, P.O. Box 275, Moses Lake, WA 98837.
