Frank Albert Schafer

Frank Albert Schafer, 95, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2005 at the Lakeridge Care Center in Moses Lake

Frank A. Schafer, the son of George F. and Anna C. (Stuhr) Schafer, was born January 26, 1910 at Bickleton. He married Gladys F. Jones Aug. 29, 1941. Together they farmed in the Dayton/Walla Walla and Ralston area. He was a member of the Methodist Church at Ritzville, the Ralston Grange and the IOOF. Frank was known for his positive attitude and willingness to help family, friends and neighbors; he will be missed by all. Frank and Gladys have lived in Moses Lake since 1990.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by all of his siblings and a son, Paul Schafer. Surviving is his wife Gladys of Moses Lake; two granddaughters, Monica Tillman and husband Dale of Sedro Woolley and Linda Allen of Ritzville; a daughter-in-law, Grace Schafer of New York; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2005 at 2 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church in Ritzville, with Pastor John Hunsberger officiating. Vault interment will follow at the Ritzville Memorial Cemetery.
