Robert R. Willey

Robert R. (Bob) Willey, 74, passed away Saturday, Dec. 17, in Eugene, Ore.

Robert was born Nov. 19, 1931 to Martin and Louise (Rudrud) Willey in Spokane. Robert met Estelle Inabnit while serving in the Army; they were married April 4, 1953 in San Antonio, Texas. Robert worked as an X-ray technician for 28 years at Samaritan Hospital before retiring in the early 1990s. After retiring, Bob and Estella moved to Florence, Ore. where they enjoyed welcoming visiting friends and showing off the beauties of the Oregon coast. Bob took great joy in children and could make any child feel special.

Bob is survived by his wife, Estelle, at the family home: one sister, Joy Willey of Newport, Ore.; two sons: Mark and Robert Willey of Florence, Ore.; two daughters: Laura Willey of Eugene, Ore. and Mary Nan Davis of Moses Lake; and seven grandchildren: Minday, Megan, Lyn, Heather, Charlie, Steven and Vawn, Jr.

At Bob's request there will be no services. The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
