Judith Jane Gansauge

Judy Gansauge of Soap Lake passed away on Dec. 15, 2005 at Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee. She was 64 years old.

She was born Judith Jane Crawford in Pasco on June 18, 1941 to Hugh P. and Vera (Suko) Crawford. Judy graduated from Ephrata High School in 1959. She then attended Kinman Business School in Spokane, graduating in 1960.

She was a lifelong member of the Catholic faith and on April 4, 1964 she married Don O. Gansauge at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Ephrata. They then made their home in Soap Lake. Together Judy and Don enjoyed 41 years of marriage.

Judy had many hobbies, including collecting antique dolls and Depression-era glassware; embroidery; and attending car, antique and gun shows with her husband. Over the last couple of years, she gained an interest in digital photography and computers. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. One of her greatest joys was being a grandma.

Judy is survived by her loving husband Don, at the home; her son Jeff and wife Jill Gansauge of Soap Lake; her daughter Eliza and Tim Springer of Moses Lake; her grandchildren Blake and Allyson Springer; brother Murray and wife Lillian Crawford of Bremerton; sister Debra and husband Tom Parker of Yakima; sister-in-law Nancy Joplin and companion Charles Dickinson of Soap Lake; niece Michelle and husband Aaron Haney and family of Bremerton and nephew Robert Harrison of Bend, Ore. She was preceded in death by her father in 2003 and mother in 2005.

Holy Rosary will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2005 at Nicoles Funeral Home in Ephrata. A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, Dec. 19, 2005 at 1 p.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Ephrata. Graveside services will follow at Valley View Memorial Park in Soap Lake.
