Dorothy Jean Kiger

Dorothy passed away on Dec.10, 2005 in the comfort of her family. Dorothy loved life and her family most of all. She and husband Ken enjoyed 59 years of life together. They have many friends and family who will miss her terribly. Dorothy and Ken were avid square dancers with the Record Breakers square dance club. They were able to travel together during their life and enjoyed their second home in Arizona in retirement years. She raised a great family and always had a smile and warm home to share.

She was born Dorothy Herndon in Lebanon, Kansas Aug. 25, 1925 to Albert and Della Herndon with brothers Dale, Donald, Duane, Delbert and sister Nellie.

Dorothy and Ken were married in Willamette Oregon in 1946. They raised four children, Kathy, Sherry (husband Bob Russell), Frankie (husband David Minor) and Gene (wife Tina).

Dorothy adored her grandchildren Tommy, Peter, Sam, Ruby, Cale, Jessie, Matthew, Noah and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Friday, Dec. 16 at noon at Holman, Hankins, Bowker and Waud, 715 7th St in Oregon City.

Donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
