Two more arrested for Quincy robbery
QUINCY — Authorities arrested the final two suspects in connection with Thursday's armed robbery of a Quincy mini-mart when an off-duty police officer spotted the two at-large suspects in a vehicle near Ellensburg.
The Quincy Police Department reported that Central Chevron mini-mart at 603 Central Ave. South was robbed Thursday evening by an armed subject for an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect and two accomplices fled the scene in a get-away car.
No shots were fired in the incident and nobody was injured, Quincy Police Chief William Gonzales said.
He said some money from the robbery was eventually recovered.
A 24-year-old man was arrested on Friday for suspicion of armed robbery of the service station, while police said at least one other suspect remained at large in connection with the heist. Juan Gabriel Rodriguez Lopez of Quincy was arrested and booked into the Grant County Jail on charges of first-degree robbery, possession of marijuana with intent to manufacture or deliver, and felon in possession of a firearm.
An unexpected break for police occurred on Saturday afternoon when an off-duty Quincy police officer identified the two at-large suspects after they passed his vehicle along Interstate 90 near Ellensburg.
The Washington State Patrol arrested the two suspects shortly after being notified.
Edward Jackson, 27, and Sugey Milagros Guadarrama, 24, both of Quincy, were taken to the Grant County Jail and booked on charges of complicity to first-degree robbery and second-degree theft.
