NOTICE OF INDUSTRIAL WASTE DISCHARGE PERMIT APPLICATION AND PROPOSED REISSUE OF PERMIT NO. ST5379

TAKE NOTICE:

The City of Warden has applied for the reissuance of State Waste Discharge Permit No. ST5379 according to the provisions of Chapter 90.48 RCW and Chapter 173-216 WAC. The permit will allow the discharge of wastewater associated with its industrial wastewater treatment facility onto land via spray irrigation. The wastewater is composed of the combined flows of process wastewater discharged from Ochoa Foods, Washington Potato, and Country Morning Farms. The treatment facility is designed to treat a maximum daily flow of 1.6 million gallons per day. Discharge from the facility will be via spray irrigation onto approximately 400 acres located in Sec. 9, 17, 20, and 21, T. 17N, R. 30 EWM. The amount of wastewater used for irrigation is dependent upon the crop needs.

Interested agencies, organizations or persons desiring to express their views or to be notified of the Department's action on this application and subsequent permit should notify, in writing, the Water Quality Permit Coordinator, Department of Ecology, 4601 N. Monroe St., Spokane, WA 99205, of their interest within thirty (30) days of the last date of publication of this notice.
