David M. Cox

David Madison Cox was born April 13, 1911 in Hooker, Okla. He went to sleep at his home in Moses Lake, where he had been living the last one and a half years, on Nov. 30.

David was a farmer in Moses Lake most of his life. He lived and farmed the Bell Ranch for 14 years. He learned to bowl and had several 300 games. He worked for bowling alleys teaching many to bowl in the Yakima area, until an accident forced him to quit. He took up golf and was an avid golfer along with his wife Pauline for many years and had a membership at Sun Tides Golf Course.

He was preceded in death by 13 brothers and sisters, his wife Pauline of Yakima and his son Robert Cox of Sacramento, Calif.

He is survived by his son Bill Cox (Cheryl) of Yacolt, his daughters Carol Deda and Sharon Clemmo (Merle) of Moses Lake. He had 18 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial services are at Shaw and Sons of Yakima. Instead of flowers please remember the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Service are on Dec. 10 at 3:30 p.m.
