Louise E. Sorenson
Louise E. Sorenson passed away Friday in Othello, Wash.
Louise was born in Innsfree, Alberta, Canada April 7, 1916. She moved to the Flathead Valley in Montana with her parents, Grace and Andrew Moe, in the early 1920s.
She married Roy Rhine in Kalispell, Mont. They had three children: LaVerne, Dawnie and Russell. The family farmed and logged for a living. Louise and Roy were later divorced.
In 1956, she married Ernest Sorenson in Kalispell, Mont. They operated a dairy farm until 1958 and then moved to Deer Park, Wash.
In 1961, they moved to Moses Lake and purchased a farm in Block 42.
Louise was well known in the cattle business, where she bought and sold dairy calves and raised replacement dairy heifers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest, and daughter, Dawnie.
She is survived by her daughter, LaVerne, and son, Russell; foster children: Rick, Jeane, Gloria, Annette and Lorna; and many grand children, great-great-grandchildren.
Louise was active in the Warden Senior Center organization and spent many hours playing cards and visiting friends there.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Warden Community Church.
