STATE OF WASHINGTON DEPARTMENT OF ECOLOGY NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO LIMIT AN AIR POLLUTION SOURCE

The State of Washington Department of Ecology (Ecology) has received an application from Weyerhaeuser Company to limit the pollutant emissions from their Containerboard Packaging manufacturing plant as allowed under the Washington Administrative Code (WAC) 173-400-091, "Voluntary limits on emissions". The products are constructed of corrugated cardboard. The process uses flexographic printing to apply water based inks. The application for limiting the pollutants was made for their facility located at 13594 Wheeler Road NE, Moses Lake, WA in Grant County. After review of the completed application and other information on file with the agency, Ecology has made a preliminary determination that this proposal will conform to all requirements as specified in Ch. 173-400 WAC and Ch. 173-401 WAC. Copies of the Preliminary Determination and other pertinent information are available for public review at Ecology, 4601 N. Monroe, Spokane, WA, and at the Grant County Planning Department, 32 C Street NW, Ephrata, WA.

The public notice is required for this action under WAC 173-400-171. The final NOC Approval Order will not be issued by Ecology until the public review process has been completed. The public is invited to comment on the project by submitting written comments within 30 days of this notice to G. Thomas Clark at the above Spokane address. A public hearing may be held if significant public interest is determined to exist.
