Leonard Henry Franz

Leonard Henry Franz was born Jan. 11, 1921 at Schrag, Wash.

He was baptized in 1935 at Menno Mennonite Church where he was an active member throughout his life.

He passed away July 30, 2005, in Spokane at North Central Care Center.

He graduated from Lind High School in l939. He lived all his life on the family farm near Lind until moving to Hearthstone Assisted Living Moses Lake in 1992. He had lived in Spokane care facilities since 2002.

He is survived by five sisters: Marie Ewert, Bellevue, Wash.; Viola Boese, Spokane, Wash.; Clara Reimer, Moses Lake; Lucille Harms, Bellevue, Wash.; Lois Bartel, LaJunta, CO; sister-in-law Dorothy Franz, Lind, Wash.; and brother-in-law Craig Dorsing, Moses Lake as well as many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Preceding him in death are his parents Julius and Agatha Franz, a brother Henry Franz and sisters Marlene Franz and Judy Franz Dorsing.

Memorial services will be at Menno Mennonite Church, 1378 North Damon Road Ritzville, Wash at 10 a.m. Friday.

Memorials may be made to Camp Camrec Building Fund Menno Mennonite Church. Arrangements are in care of Kayser's Chapel & Crematory, Moses Lake.

Viewing will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
