Granger routed by Royal

The Royal Knights took down Granger 9-1 on Thursday. Royal had 19 shots on goal and Silvano Ramos had three goals on the night. His first came at the 18 minute mark and was assisted by Juan Salas. The second shot was off a Raul Guerrero assist at the 42nd minute. Ramos' last goal was unassisted in the 50th minute. Other goals were by Raul Guerrero in the 35th minute, Daniel O'Campo in the 37th minute, Quetzal Bustos with an assist by Guerrero in the 46th, Carlos Barajas with an assist by O'Campo in 70th, Evan Barajas assisted by Carlos Barajas in the 71st minute and Evan Barajas assisted by Ignacio Garcia in the 74th.

"The boys played well as a team," said Royal coach Darren Christensen.

The Knights' next game is at home against Quincy on Saturday.

Royal fares well on the court

Royal boys split singles and swept the doubles against Wahluke on Thursday.

In boys singles, Wahluke's Alejandro Castano defeated Pat Bustillos (6-3, 6-3) and Royal's Michael Hebdon beat Kris Morgan (6-0, 6-2). In boys doubles Almeida/Meseberg defeated Barajas/Ortiz (6-0, 6-0) and Dahlke/DeLay won over Stout/Andrade (6-2, 6-4).

The Lady Knights took the doubles match and split singles. Wahluke's Justine Gallacci defeated Carly Jansen (6-0, 6-7, 6-1) and Royal's Kelcy Jansen beat Dalila Jimenez (6-0, 6-3). In girls doubles, Wahluke's Poch/Valencia defeated Lopez/Quintero (6-3, 6-4) and Royal's Hererra/Guijosa defeated Ornelas/Zabylski (6-3, 5-7, 6-2) and Singer/Christensen beat Diaz/Cochran (6-2, 6-4).

Othello girls take the meet

Othello boys struggled against Grandview and Naches with a total team score of 101. Othello girls came out on top with a team score of 162.

Warden wins over LaSalle on Monday

Warden boys won their match against LaSalle 379 to 391 on Monday. They played 18 holes on a par 71. Kevin McPartland was the medalist with an 89. Other scores were: Robbie Horn with a 91, Guy Jensen with a 96, Eric Whitney with a 103, Ben Bisnett with a 109 and Chance Buck with a 112.

For Warden's girls, Gloria Flores had a 160.

Warden and Wahluke tie on the green

Both teams combined for a score of 384. Wahluke's Chris Zigler was the medalist Thursday with a score of 81. Other scores for Wahluke included: Ryan Merkle with an 88, Chris Torchet with a 106, Adam Roth with a 109, Nick Jenne with a 124 and Charlie Hyndman with a 134. Scores for Warden were: Kevin McPartland with a 91, Guy Jensen with an 89, Chance Buck with a 93, Ben Bisnett with a 111, Terver Gutierrez with a 128 and Eric Whitney had a DQ on the day.

The Warden girls scores were: Sophie Mayate with a 114, Liz Rodriguez with a 142 and Gloria Flores with a 157. Wahluke's girls scores were: Marie Grelsen with a 119 and Amanda Havens with a 114.
