The Lady Tigers easily beat Chelan in a head-to-head meet Tuesday, scoring 96 team points. Erin Laughlin took first in the girls 100 hurdles with a time of 18.39 seconds and her teammate Jayneen Jorgenson, took third with a time of 18.60 seconds. In the girls 100 meter dash Sara Price took third with a time of 14.94 seconds. Kayelynn Joachims and Katelyn McDonnell took second and third respectively with times of 5:51.36 and 5:57.94 minutes. In the girls 400 meter Ashley Nelson took first with a time of 65.66 seconds; Sara Price took second with a time of 70.94 seconds. Jayneen Jorgenson took second in the girls 300 meter hurdles with a time of 51.86 seconds and Erin Laughlin took third with a time of 52.92 seconds. In the girls 800 meter Brandi Eloff took first and Emily Frazier took second with times of 2:31.74 and 2:37.87 minutes respectively. Toni Loo took first in the girls 200 meter with a time of 29.64 seconds and her teammate, Erin Laughlin, took second with a time of 29.66 seconds. Kaylee Riley took first in the girls 3200 meter run with a time of 16:19.97 minutes. In the girls 4x200 meter relay, Ephrata took first with a time of 2:00.54 minutes. The Ephrata girls took first in the girls 4x400 meter relay with a time of 4:30.42 minutes. Margie Lou Correll took first in the girls high jump with a cleared height of 5' and Alicia Johnson took third with a cleared height of 4'4". Ephrata swept the girls pole vault with Casey Tate and Mylissa Treftz tying for first with a cleared height of 7'6" and Katelyn McDonnell took third with a cleared height of 7'. In the girls long jump, Emily Lewellyn took first with a distance of 15'7" and Katelyn McDonnell took third with a distance of 13'4". Emily Lewellyn took first in the girls triple jump with a distance of 32'6.75" and Jayneen Jorgenson took second with a distance of 30'7". In the girls discus throw Harmony Belles took second with a throw of 82'11" and Amanda MacDonald took third with a throw of 81'4". Landra Lange took third in the girls javelin throw with a distance of 86'4.5". Harmony Belles took first in the girls shot put with a throw of 28'7" and Landra Lange took second with a throw of 27'4".

The Ephrata boys team had some good placings but were not able to come up with a win in the team scoring. CJ Sharp took first in the boys 110 meter hurdles with a time of 17.09 seconds. Ephrata swept the 100 meter dash — Eric Paulson took first with a time of 11.12 seconds, Kevin Valline took second with a time of 11.29 seconds and Dom Nicholson took third with a time of 11.40 seconds. In the boys 1600 meter Louis Navarro took third with a time of 5:28.57 minutes. In the boys 4x100 relay Ephrata took first with a time of 45.53 seconds. In the 400 meter dash Cody Purdom took second with a time of 55.85 seconds and Derrick Lynch took third with a time of 56.10 seconds. CJ Sharp took first in the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 43.91 seconds. In the 800 meter Jesse Throgmorton took second with a time of 2:08.50 minutes. In the 200 meter dash Kevin Valline took third with a time of 23.70 seconds. Ephrata swept the 3200 meter run with Louis Navarro taking first with a time of 11:55.44 minutes, Tony Louthan taking second with a time of 13:21.12 minutes and Brendon Ingraham taking third with a time of 13:53.99 seconds. Ephrata took second in the 4x400 relay with a time of 3:50.77 minutes. Jeremy Falconer took second in the shot put with a throw of 42'6.75". In discus Jeremy Falconer took first with a throw of 123'4" and Terry Martin took third with a throw of 111'. Eric Paulson took first in the javelin with a throw of 142'9.5" and Jeremy Falconer took third with a throw of 134'10". In the long jump Eric Paulson took first with a distance of 19'9.5" and Kevin Valline took second with a distance of 19'9.5". Noe Guzman took second in high jump with a cleared height of 5'6" and Alex Johnson took third with a cleared height of 5'4". Zach Brissy took second in pole vault with a cleared height of 10'6".

The Lady Tigers had a tough day against Omak on Tuesday. Ephrata had just five runs on 11 hits. Laura Tinnelle pitched seven innings and struck out five batters. She also hit 2 for 4 with 1 RBI. Tiffany Moncrief hit 2 for 4 with 1 run and 1 RBI, Holly Hubbard went 2 for 4 with 1 run and Tonya Joe hit 2 for 2 with 2 doubles and 2 RBIs. The Lady Tigers' next game is a double-header on Saturday against Cashmere.

The Knights lost to Brewster 17-1 on Tuesday with their lone run coming out of just two hits. Calvin Mathis, Ray Valle, Kyle Scroggins and Colt Brown all took a turn on the mound during the five inning game. Ray Valle had a double and Garret Werlinger had a single on the day. Coach Paul Olsufka said he was hoping the game would be an inspiration for his team who plays Goldendale in a league match up on Saturday. The Ephrata Tigers beat Omak 7-6.

The Cougars took home an 11-9 win against Okanogan on Tuesday. Ed Rodriguez began the night on the mound for Warden and hit 4 for 4 with two singles, a double and one homerun. Castillo came in in the third inning and was relieved in the sixth by Jorge Reyes who shut out Okanogan in the last two innings. Reyes also had a double and a triple on the night.

The Tigers singles players did not have a good Tuesday but all three doubles teams beat their opponents decisively. Chelan's Tyson McGuffin defeated TJ Sween (6-0, 6-0) and Scott Whitsile of Chelan beat Clark Grigg (6-4, 6-3). The team of Rubelcava/Commings defeated Skaar/Stankovich (6-2, 6-4), Willauer/DeStio won over Thomason/Hoffman (6-1, 6-0) and Harr/Lutz beat Ingstrom/Jones (6-1, 6-2).

The Lady Tigers fared one better, with just one loss. Genissa Bornog defeated Khynna Beaton (6-1, 6-1). Chelan's Hilda Barrios defeated Shawna Bonette (1-6, 6-2, 6-4). The team Webb/Hutchinson defeated Miller/Schramm (6-0, 6-2), VanHuesden/Senn won over Barth/Easley (6-0, 6-2) and Bair/Ratigan beat Lagge/Suarez (7-5, 6-2). Tuesday's win brings the Lady Tigers record to 6-0 overall and 3-0 in league.

Royal boys played a par 72 course on Tuesday and defeated LaSalle 302 to 388. James Dykes had the low score of the day with a 72. Joseph Perkins shot a 73. Ryan Gilbert had a 78, DJ Solis had a 79, Patrick Dorsing had an 81 and Brandon Hubbard had a 94.

The Lady Knights had a tough day on the green and lost by a mere four points with the final scores being 223 to 227. Jenny Janette had the low score for Royal with a 52. Sarah Perkins had a 55. Erin Argo had a 59, Janelle Cochran had a 61, Laura Perkins had a 75 and Chantel Anderson had an 82.

Coach Andrew Perkins said it was a good boys match and that as the season has gone on it has been interesting to watch James Dykes and Joseph Perkins battle for the number one spot. He added that Jenny Janette is playing well.

Bart Patitutcci and Jason Brault tied for a medal on Tuesday, both shooting a 77. Brandon Hoksbergen and Travis Mohs both shot a 79. Brandon Robins had a 92 and Blake Roosma had a 97. Othello's team score of 312 was the best of the day against Goldendale, East Valley of Yakima, Toppenish, and Naches.
