WELL 7 DRILLING AND TESTING PROJECT

This work shall consist of constructing a 1000-foot deep (+) potable water well in accordance with these Specifications, the Revised Code of Washington (RCW), the Washington Administrative Code (WAC), AWWA Manual M21 and Section A-100 of the American Water Works Association (AWWA). The well shall be cased and sealed to 200 feet below the top of the Grand Ronde formation with an open hole completion interval extending as deep into the Grand Ronde as needed. If water quality and quantity requirements cannot be met in the Grand Ronde, a Schedule B set of testing and well modifications could be used to convert the well to a lower Wanapum Basalt completion, which would be, an open hole or screened interval from 400 feet to 700 feet below ground surface. The target production from this well is 1500 gpm. The contractor shall provide all the resources necessary to drill and complete the well.

City of Warden, 201 S. Ash Avenue, Warden, WA 98857 until 2:00 P.M., May 5, 2005, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.

A pre-bid walkthrough will beheld on April 26, 2005 at 1:00 pm starting at City Hall.

The City of Warden, City Hall, local plan centers in the project area, or the office of the Project Engineers, Gray & Osborne, Inc., (Yakima at 107 South 3rd Street, Seattle at 701 Dexter Avenue N., #200, or Olympia at 2401 Bristol Court SW, Bldg. A).

Copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained at the Issuing Office, Gray & Osborne, Inc., located at 107 S. 3rd Street, Yakima, WA 98901 upon a non-refundable payment of $125.00 for each set.

At the time and date stated above, the proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud. Proposals are to be submitted only on the form provided with the Specifications. All proposals must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, money order, or bid bond payable to the City of Warden of a value not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount bid.

The City of Warden expressly reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive minor irregularities or informalities and to further make award of the project to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder as it best serves the interest of the City.

All work performed on the project will be subject to the higher of prevailing state or federal Davis-Bacon wage rates.
