Herbert "Herb" M. Hardiman

Herbert "Herb" M. Hardiman, 83, longtime Moses Lake resident, went home to be with his Lord, Sunday, April 10 at his home in Moses Lake. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, April 19 at 11 a.m. at Moses Lake First Church of Nazarene with Pastor Floyd Wilks officiating. Arrangements are in care of Kayser's Chapel and Crematory, Moses Lake.

Herbert was a loving husband and father. Born to Herbert B. and Laura V. (King) Hardiman in Wausaukee, Wis. on July 29, 1921. He graduated from Albany High School, Albany, Ore. in 1941. After which he served our country from 1942 to 1945, when he was honorably discharged.

While attending diesel mechanic school in Klamath Falls, Ore. he met the love of his life and made her his bride on July 17, 1950 in Wayne, Michigan. They moved with their family to Moses Lake, Wash. in 1962. Here they raised their family and enjoyed their grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Herbert work road construction and land leveling for many years. He was a longtime member of the Moses Lake First Church of Nazarene, serving on the board, as a Sunday school superintendent and teacher. He was also a member of the Moses Lake Toastmasters, and served as president. He enjoyed fishing and camping with his family.

Herbert was preceded in death by his father and mother, brothers, Irvin Hardiman and Robert Hardiman, and sister Laura Hardiman. He is survived by his loving wife, Lois J. (Harvey) Hardiman; children Paul Hardiman and wife Joyce of Tampa, Fla., John Hardiman and wife Kathy of Quincy, Wash., Jeannie Martinez and husband Paul of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Laura Humphrey and husband Glenn, and Dessie Smith, of Moses Lake, Wash.; sisters Medaine Rudd, Virginia Bond and Dolly Morrison, and brother, William Hardiman; twelve grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Herbert was deeply loved, and shall be greatly missed.
