| April 7, 2005 9:00 PM

Creighton B. Leonard, age 88, passed away on Monday, April 4, 2005 surrounded by his loving family. Creighton was born November 26, 1916 and grew up in Chewelah, Washington. He served in the Navy in WWII. Settling in Moses Lake in 1946, Creighton set up his own business, Leonard Plumbing Company, and worked as a plumber and general contractor until his retirement in 1985. Being an active outdoorsman, Creighton loved hunting, fishing and camping. He supported various wildlife and nature-preserving causes. He was a resourceful craftsman and could fix anything we broke. Creighton always found time for his family and friends. Perhaps his greatest devotion was to his wife, Ruth, whom he cared for with diligence and love to the last day of his life. He is preceded in death by his son, Jonathan Leonard and his grandson, Danny Craddock. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Ruth, a daughter, Daryl Ann Craddock, and three sons, Greg Leonard, Jim Leonard and Ed Gillen as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. To honor his request, there will be no memorial service.
