Cougars take Warriors in a double header

Warden won both games on Tuesday afternoon against Wahluke. The Cougars took the first game 13-1 in five innings. Edward Rodriguez was solid from the mound and at the plate going 3 for 3 with a double, an RBI and a home run. Warden had 10 hits and three errors on the day. Aaron Pruendea hit 1 for 3 with a homer. Andrew Garza went 2 for 2 with a home run. Benny Vela had a triple with an RBI and Travis Matzin had an RBI. It was more of the same in the second game. Warden won the second 11-1 in five innings. Jorge Reyes pitched a solid game with 12 strike outs and one walk. Aaron Prunedea lit it up again going 1 for 2 with a 3 run homer. Kenny Guerra was 1 for 3 with an RBI triple and Andrew Garza hit 2 for 2 with 2 stolen bases.

Golf

Othello and Royal have a tough day on the green

Othello and Royal City were among 26 teams to play golf at the West Valley invitational on Tuesday, placing 13th and 7th respectively. Othello had a combined team score of 332 on the day with individual team scores ranging from 76 to 87. Bart Patitucci finished the day with a 76, Jason Brault had a score of 84, Brandon Hoksbergen called it a day with 85 and Travis Mohs finished with an 87. Royal City fared slightly better with a team score of 319. James Dykes took home the low score with a 78, Joseph Perkins and Patrick Dorsing both finished the day with a 79, Brian Gilbert finished with an 83 and DJ Solis ended up with an 88.
