The Quincy Jacks didn't play well on Friday against Lakeside with a 12-28 loss.

"We didn't get off the bus," Quincy coach Bill Alexander.

Senior Matt Medina was 10 for 20 passing, running 185 yards with one touchdown while Gabe Lopez had three catches and ran 37 yards with one touchdown.

"Lakeside controlled the ball the entire game," Alexander said.

Ephrata-Oroville

Ephrata put Oroville in their place on Friday with a 28-12 win.

Although the Tigers gave up two turnovers in the first half they bounced back in the second. The second play of the third quarter Ephrata caused a fumble and recovery for possession.

"The first half was pretty sloppy but in the second we overcame adversity and it all came together," Tigers' coach Jay Mills said.

In the third quarter Thomas Bossert ran a five yard touchdown and scored the two point conversion. Also in the third, Reid Forrest ran a 10 yard touchdown and Kai Hirz kicked a field goal to even up the game.

"Defense played very well and it showed in the end," Mills said.

Royal tops River View

Ray Valle's four touchdown passes led the Royal Knights football team to a 48-12 win over River View Friday.

Valle connected with Garrett Werlinger on three occasions for scores, while Jeff Jack added two touchdowns on 94 yards rushing.

Reyes kicks Warden over Zillah

Jorge Reyes had the game on the line with 8:57 remaining against Zillah when he connected on a 41-yard field goal to put the Warden football team on top 12-10.

Reyes hit a 38-yard field goal in the third quarter to set up his game-winning kick.

Othello falls to East Valley

The Othello football team's three fumbles against East Valley Friday, cost the Huskies the game in a 21-14 loss.

The biggest of them all came midway through the fourth quarter with the game tied 14-14 when Othello gave the ball up to East Valley, who charged down the field to score the game-winning touchdown.
