The Quincy Jacks beat Medical Lake for the first time in four years with a 27-26 win on Friday.

Quincy and Medical Lake were both returning top ranked teams from last year. Senior Andy Harris scored the winning touch down with a 23 yard pass from fellow senior Matt Medina. Medina threw three touchdown passes in the game and only seems to be improving, according to head coach Bill Alexander. Quincy had five fumbles in the game and lost three for touchdowns.

"We had outstanding offense, but we need to work on our defense." Alexander said.

Othello bounces back

The Othello football team has completely forgotten last week's loss to Royal with a 68-0 win over Toppenish Friday.

The Huskies head coach Roger Hoell called the game efficient as starting quarterback Wally Cantu threw four touchdowns on 7-for-10 passing for 157 yards. Aaron Hafer received two passes for 97 yards and two touchdowns.

Geoff Kirkwood exploded for 81 yards on 11 carries and three touchdowns for an explosion on offense by the Huskies. Toppenish was never given a chance as the Othello defense held them under 100 yards of offense for the game.

Entiat shuts out Soap Lake

Entiat's 21-point first quarter all but put the football game away against Soap Lake Friday, before wrapping up a 34-0 win.

The Eagles gave up 292 yards of total offense to the opposing Entiat team, who scored five touchdowns in the game. Soap Lake was held to 162 yards of total offense, mostly at the hand of Eagle running back Vince Taylor who broke away for 85 yards on 14 carries.

Jacks rushes over Cle Elum

Jeff Jack and James Dykes continued with Royal's offensive surge, exploiting Cle Elum for six touchdowns on the gridiron Friday.

Jack contributed four of the touchdowns as the Knights walked away with a 55-6 win in the nonleague matchup.

Moses Lake loses shootout with Eisenhower

Moses Lake led the game through the first three quarters of play, before falling victim to another come-from-behind win Friday at Eisenhower.

Leading 35-28 heading into the final quarter of play, the Chiefs gave up two touchdowns, one to Alex Johnson on a three-yard touchdown run and Cadet quarterback hit Zach Gavin for the game-winning touchdown of the game from five yards out.

Moses Lake's Robbie Waites finished the game with 11 rushes for 119 yards and two touchdowns and 82 yards passing, including a touchdown.

Ryan Carpenter contributed with 108 yards on the ground on 11 touches and one receiving touchdown.
