Diane Noble Green
Diane Noble Green, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away after a long and courageous battle with multiple myeloma on Monday, August 30, 2004 surrounded by her family in Salem, Utah.
Diane was born to Cleon Ernest and Catherine Bowen Noble in Salt Lake City, Utah on May 8, 1949. She spent her childhood and young adult life in American Fork, Utah and Moses Lake, Wash., where she learned to work hard and to love music and riding horses. She attended Brigham Young University (BYU) and majored in music education.
Diane met Stanley W. Green at BYU in the philharmonic orchestra where she played violin and he played cello. They found a common interest in Austria, where she spent a semester studying, and he served an LDS mission. They were married December 21, 1972 in the Provo. Utah LDS Temple.
While Stanley served in the Air Force, Diane raised their family in North Dakota, Alabama, California, Washington, D.C., Germany, Idaho and Utah. She spent her life in service to her family and everyone who crossed her path. A faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in whatever capacity she was asked. including as a member of Relief Society, Young Women and Primary presidencies and as a nursery leader in a surprise call from the pulpit.
Diane is survived by: her husband, Stanley Green; her children, Jonathan Green (DeAnn), Adam Green (Jennie), Christian Green (Robyn), Daniel Green (Jeni), James Green, Marc Green (Marcy), Seth Green (Pam), Alexia Green, Elder Matthew Green, Annelise McDermott (Lucas), Catherine Green, Peter Green, and Bethany Green; her eight grandchildren, Natalie, Joshua, Spencer, Jacob, Megan, Hannah, Emily, and Rachel; and her eight brothers and sisters, Brian Noble (Nancy), Nancy Noble, Rosemary Palmer (Roy), Ross Noble (Clarissa), Paul Noble (Katie), Annette Golom (John), and Margaret Jackson (Tony).
Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Cleon Earnest and Catherine Bowen Noble, and her nephew, Alan Noble.
Funeral services will be Thursday, September 2, 2004 at 11 a.m. in the Salem West Stake Center, 695 South 300 West, Salem, Utah. Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary, 187 South Main Street, Spanish Fork on Wednesday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. or Thursday at the Stake Center, 9:45 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Burial will be in the Salem City Cemetery.
