Dan Fossen, 57, longtime Moses Lake resident, passed away surrounded by family at his home on Tuesday, October 12, 2004 after a long, courageous battle with diabetes. At the family's request, no services will be held at this time.

Arrangements are in care of Kayser's Chapel and Crematory, Moses Lake.

Dan was born October 30, 1946 in Hettinger, ND to George and Rose Fossen.

He was a master carpenter and an avid outdoorsman. He was always ready to take his grandsons fishing. He won numerous awards for his wood carvings, which he loved working on in his shop.

Dan is survived by: the love of his life, his wife, Marcia; daughters, Michelle Bradley (Mel) and Tami Miller of Moses Lake, LaDonna Miller (Tim) of Twin Falls, Idaho, and Kimberly and son, Boone of Colorado; his mother, Rose; brothers, Dave and Darryl; sister, GiGi; grandchildren, Brandon and Preston Bradley of Moses Lake and Juanita and Anthony of Twin Falls; sisters-in-law, Jackie Lowry (Dick), Linda Moyer (Chuck) and Leanne Bunn (Vic); brother-in-law, Roger Larsen; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, George.

Dan had a circle of buddies he valued beyond words. They were always there for him. They include Donny Merrill, Vic Jansen, Doug Edwards, Bill LaRose, Mike Freeman, Bill Howell, Seth Merrill, Grant Nichols, Jeff Solomon, Ed Kuda and his "measuring" buddy, Mary Kile, plus many, many others.

Dan was the strongest spirit we all had the pleasure of knowing. He will be missed but now he is at peace and free of pain.
