Esther El Vera Osterhout

Esther El Vera (vera) Osterhout, 79, of Soap Lake, Wash., passed away Saturday, October 30, 2004 in Moses Lake, Wash. She was born May 30, 1925 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Vera was a homemaker who loved to crochet, make crafts, sew and do Brazilian embroidery, among other things. Her love and generosity will be greatly missed.

Vera married Darwin Osterhout on February 22, 1943 in Salmon, Idaho.

She was preceded in death by her husband on May 16, 2002, her mother, Esther Hatch, her father, Glen Hatch and her grandson, Jack Lee Sheneman, Jr., who passed away January 14, 1996.

She is survived by: her children, Renae and Mike Phillips of Spokane, Wash., Anita and Jack Sheneman of Ephrata, Wash., Rod Osterhout of Soap Lake, Bonnie and Al Edgecomb of Ceres, Calif., Debbie and Fred Howell of Spokane, Verna and Don Slaugh of Othello, Wash., and Ron and Mona Osterhout of Fairview, Ore.; 32 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara Williams of Ivans, Utah and Lucille Lybbert LIbby of Nesquite, Nev.

Services were held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 1301 E. Division in Ephrata.
