Wilma Cannon

Longtime resident Wilma Jewel "Hartley" Cannon lost her battle with a lung disorder on March 25, 2004.

She was born on Novemeber 16, 1932 in Squires, Mo. to William and Ruth Hartley. She lived in eastern Washington a good deal of her later years, making Quincy, Moses Lake, and Ephrata her homes. She spent many years in Fairbanks, Alaska, and lived twice in Yellville and Harrison, Ark.

She loved to crochet, decorate her homes with family photos, write poetry, and was a wonderful cook.

She is preceded in death by many she loved, including her parents, brothers, Nathan, Ellis, Luther, Lawrence, and Howard Hartley, her sisters, Juanita Hartley and Elva Bomesberger and her husband of 26 years, Richard Thomas Cannon.

She is survied by: her longtime friend and companion, Duane "Buck" Houser of Ephrata; many nieces and nephews; her daughter, Sandra Allen; granddaughter, Sabrina; and great-grandson Jason, all of Salem, Ore.

She was loved by all she knew and who knew her.
