Othello's Kimberly Schutte and Erin Hafer made the journey back toward the 2A girls state golf championship with first and second place at the CWAC district tournament.

CWAC girls golf

Schutte finished with an 81 and Hafer shot a 92 to lead the Huskies to the district title with a team score of 385. Ephrata followed with a 409. Othello head coach Dawn Weyns was named CWAC South girls coach of the year and Ephrata head coach Heidi Burns was named the North girls coach of the year.

Othello's Natash Mendonca finished fifth at the district tournament to qualify for state.

Ephrata's LaSheana Adams shot a fourth-place 94 and Megan Perdue shot a sixth-place 98 to qualify for the state title.

CWAC boys golf

Quincy's Drew Ferguson was crowned the CWAC boys district champion with a low round of 71 at Sage Hills Golf Course.

Othello's Bart Patitucci finished second with a 74 and Eric Brault finished third with a 75. The Huskies took home the team district championship with a team score of 318.

SCAC girls golf

The Royal girls golf team took home the SCAC district title with 46 team points in the tournament and qualified two girls for state.

Tasha Forrester shot a 104 and Nicole Cochran shot a 109 for the Knights, while Ashley Cochran lost to Highland's Jessica Delarosa for the alternate spot with a round of 112.

Highland's Minhee Park was medalist at the tournament with a round of 89.

Warden's Julie Yamamoto qualified for state for the fourth year in a row with a round of 108. As a team, the Cougars finished third with 21.5 team points.

SCAC boys golf

Joe Perkins led Royal to another district title with a round of 75 on Tuesday, taking home the low round for the tournament.

Royal finished with 64.5 team points, followed by Zillah with 54. Warden finished fourth with 14.

Royal's James Dykes finished with a 76 and Patrick Dorsing missed the cut set at 87 with a round of 88.

Warden's Marc Yamamoto qualified for state with a round of 83, his fourth appearance at the state tournament.
