The Skaug Bros. challenge

You may have noticed the challenge. It is on the back page of the 2004 Progress edition published recently.

There, in a banner at the bottom of the page, they challenge all comers to prove their Moses Lake retail business is older than Skaug Bros., Inc., which began as Armstrong Pain & Glass in 1946.

The Brothers will pay $100 to anyone who can prove their business was established before 1946. It must be a retail business. Service businesses do not qualify. The $100 prize must be claimed by the business owner only.
