Frances Elizabeth Womack Rigsby

Frances Elizabeth Womack Rigsby, born in Manning, Ark. on January 5, 1922, died of congestive heart failure on May 3, 2004 at her daughter's home in Moses Lake, Wash.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Floyd W. Rigsby, granddaughter, Claudia Rigsby Burns, sister, Doris Lafferty, brother, Tommy Womack, and parents, Bob and Ida Bell Womack.

Frances and Floyd were married in Pine Bluff, Ark. on October 19, 1942 and had lived in Moses Lake since 1948.

Survivors include: her daughters, Donna and Richard Walden of Casa Grande, Ariz. and Vicki Turner of Moses Lake; sons, Floyd (Bill) W. Jr. and Gisela Rigsby of Henderson, Nev. and Larry and Katie Rigsby of Spokane, Wash.; grandchildren, (Donna's children), Jerry Sooter and fiance, Teresa Mix and children, Jeannie and Jeff Isaacson and great-granddaughter, Kayla; (Bill's children) Donna Rigsby, Thomas Rigsby and great-grandson, T.J., Brigitte and Mason Marker and great-granddaughter, Sydney; (Vicki's children) Melissa Turner and great granddaughter, Alyssa, and Tom and Jennifer Turner and great-grandsons, Bryant and Brandon Turner; her sister, Erline Crain of Corpus Christi, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

Frances loved to crochet and made many beautiful heirloom tablecloths and bedspreads, as well as numerous afghans for family members. She and Floyd enjoyed extensive travels with family and friends, especially to Hawaii and Texas. Reading, playing golf and bridge were also favorite pastimes. Her greatest joy in life was the love of family and friends.

Our beloved Mother and Grandmother will be greatly missed by all who loved her and knew her and knew of her kind and gentle spirit.

A memorial service will be held at Kayser's Chapel of Memories on May 7, 2004 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Claudia Rigsby Burns Memorial, c/o Jim Perko, Executive Director, Columbia Basin Foundation, 1250 Basin Street SW, Ste F, Ephrata, WA 98823, or Hospice, 311 W. Third Ave., Moses Lake, WA 98837 or a charity of your choice.
