North Central ESD presents Friend of Children Award
Moses Lake farmer Reid Baker was presented with the prestigious "Friend of Children" Award in Wenatchee June 18.
The North Central Educational Service District presents the award annually to individuals and/or organizations for their contributions benefiting children and improving the quality of life for families within the ESD's 12,000 square-mile service area. North Central ESD superintendent Rich McBride said that the award reflects Reid's long-standing commitment and dedication to children. Moses Lake School District Superintendent Dr. Steve Chestnut nominated Baker for his leadership in the completion of the Lions Field Team Room.
"We were fortunate to have so many members of the community dedicate hours of their time on the project and Reid was the key to the volunteer effort," said Chestnut, "he is very deserving of this honor."
