Shane Chapman

Shane Chapman, 35, lifelong Moses Lake resident, passed away Thursday, June 17, 2004. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 23, 2004 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Rose Street Chapel, with Bishop Jeff Earl presiding. Interment will follow at Pioneer Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be at the funeral home Monday night until 7 p.m., Tuesday from 8 a.m.-7 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday from 9-9:45 a.m.

Arrangements are in care of Kayser's Chapel and Crematory, Moses Lake.

Shane was born April 2, 1969 in Moses Lake. He was raised and educated in Moses Lake. Shane worked in construction around the Columbia Basin his entire adult life.

He loved to water and snow ski, golf, ride motorcycles and go four-wheeling at the sand dues. He really enjoyed taking groups of young kids out to the dunes to ride four-wheelers.

Shane loved his family and was there daily for his grandparents, who had taken a big part in raising him. He was especially close to his cousin, Jason and considered him a brother. He had a wide circle of friends and was very well-liked by all who knew him.

Shane is survived by: his two children, Michael Jaeger and Keaton Chapman of Moses Lake; father, Loy Chapman of Seattle, Wash.; mother, JoAnn Bragg of Warden, Wash.; paternal grandparents, J.L. and Sylvia Frances Chapman of Moses Lake; three sisters, Tonya "Bug" Chapman and daughter, Shai, Jamaica Kompier of Seattle and Sarah Bragg of Moses Lake; stepmother, Sylvan Johnson; stepfather, John Bragg; uncles, Mark Chapman, Jim Chapman and J. Chapman; aunts, Zonda Chapman, Connie Spies and Susan Bauer; cousins, Colin, Chad, Jason and daughter, Jaida, Casey, Ashley, David, Kyle and Mackenzie Chapman.

He will be missed by all.
