| June 8, 2004 9:00 PM

Paul M. McMains, born November 7, 1904, and surrounded by his loving family, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 6, 2004 at Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake.

Paul was born in Miami, Okla. to Charles Leroy and Minnie Alice (Marshall) McMains. When he was six months old, the family moved by boxcar on the railroad to the Pecos Valley to homestead a farm in the New Mexico territory.

Paul finished his college degree at Kansas State College, where he met Leola Beyer. They were married in 1928 and celebrated 73 years of marriage before Leola's death in 2002.

Paul was loved and admired by his family, who survive him, including: Lenora (Dave) D'Arcy, Joe (Maude) McMains, Dr. Gene (Shirl) McMains, Sam McMains, and Mary (Terry) Hunt; 15 grandchildren and spouses, 40 great-grandchildren, and six great great-grandchildren.

Paul's love of God and Jesus Christ was evident to all who knew him and was the guiding force in his life. We, his family, thank God for the gift of Paul as our father.

Memorial services will be held at the Ephrata Church of Christ at 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 9, 2004.
