Ila E. Huss

Ila Huss passed away June 3, 2004 after a brief illness. She was surrounded by her family and friends. She was 67 at the time of her death. She began her life September 25, 1936 in Orofino, Idaho, the daughter of Lyle and Leona Coffinet. he was later joined by two sisters and three brothers. They lived on the farm until Ila was around 12 years old. At that time the family moved to the Lewiston/Clarkston area. She attended Clarkston High School.

Ila married young and had four children. In 1967 she met and married her true soul mate, Wayne Huss. Between them they had 10 children. In 1970, they found themselves moving their family to Royal City, Wash. where they have resided ever since.

Ila worked at the local grocery store for 20 years, and was known by most everyone in and around the area. She will be forever in the memories of those who knew and loved her, and she will be sadly missed. Ila will be remembered for her sense of humor and dry wit. She loved playing bingo, enjoyed her grandchildren and her roses.

Ila was returned to her Savior and we know that she was reunited with the three sons that she both loved and missed.

She is survived by: her husband, Wayne Sr. of Royal City; daughters, Linda Nelson and Cheryl Anderson of the Tri-Cities; son, Gary Gustin and his wife, Yvonne of Royal City; Wayne's children, Don (Bridget) Huss of Connecticut, Pam (Don) Haggin of Yakima, Julie Anderson of Ellensburg and Melody (Dick) Shaff of Ellensburg; brothers, Darrell (Erica) Craig of Fullerton, Calif., Rick (Myrna) Craig of Ramona, Calif., and Wes Schultz of Clarkston Wash.; sisters, Karen (Tony) Grinolds and Judy (George) Deverman of the Tri-Cities; 18 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by an older brother, Tommy, her parents and three sons, Kevin, Craig and Wayne Jr.

Memorial services will be held at the Royal City Church of the Nazarene on Wednesday June 9, 2004 at 1 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made in her name to the American Cancer Society.
