Rebecca "Becky" Gamez

Rebecca "Becky" Gamez, beloved mother, sister and friend, passed into eternity on February 13, 2004 in San Antonio, Texas.

She is survived by: her two sons, Isaac "Ike" Gamez of New York City and Carlos Gamez and wife, Debbie of San Antonio, Texas; Carlos' two children, son William and daughter Deja; seven brothers and sisters, all of whom reside in Texas, David Guadalupe Mata, Ruben Mata, Eduardo "Lalo" Mata, Ricardo (Kikin) Mata, Rosalinda Mata Marquez, Rachel (Quela) Mata Perez (her twin sister), and Ramiro (Mito) Mata.

She had friendships that endured the years as well as the miles in several states, but most were concentrated in Texas and the Pacific Northwest. Her favorite cousins, aunts, uncles, compadres and comrades, you all know who you are and how much you meant to her.

Becky was preceded in death by her natural mother, Rebecca Montemayor in 1974 and her father, Guadalupe Mata in 1995. She is survived by her father-in-law, Isaac "Dad" Gamez and mother-in-law, Minerva "Mom: Gamez, whom loved her very much.

Becky, or Becca, will be remembered for all the love and joy she gave to everyone and everything (her pets). Most of all, she will be remembered for her love of music and dancing and her outspoken personality.

We will love you always. Dancing Queen, "I'll be watching you."

A prayer service and memorial will be held Friday, June 4, 2004 at 8:30 p.m. at the United Methodist Church on Ironwood Dr. in Moses Lake. All friends and family are welcome to attend.
