Clifford William Davis, 89, passed away May 27, 2004 in Ephrata, Wash. Mr. Davis was born October 16, 1914 to Jack and Ella Davis in Roy, Idaho.
On October 5, 1946 he married Leona Case in Buckley, Wash. He then later married Grace Hendrickson on October 16, 1980 in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
In his early days, he became a logger when he was only 16 years old. He then became the owner of Davis Sawmill in Carnation, Wash. from 1945 until 1972 when he retired.
Mr. Davis was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Ephrata. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge for 40 years, the Ephrata Senior Center, Moses Lake Senior Center and the Wenatchee Senior Center.
He is survived by: his daughters, Lexie Huselton of Everett, Wash., Gayle and John Vanhulle of Paulsbo, Wash.; stepdaughters, Pat and David Long of Soap Lake, Wash. and Debbie McKenzie of Post Falls, Idaho; stepson, Loran and Ginger Hendrickson of Wenatchee, Wash.; sister, Roberta Smith of Kennewick, Wash.; brother, Howard and Ida Davis of Orting, Wash.; 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wives, Leona (Case) Davis and Grace (Hendrickson) Davis.
After retiring, he relocated to Arizona and eastern Washington.
Memorial service will be held June 11, 2004 at 1 p.m. at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Ephrata.
