Delbert Ervin Busherd

Delbert Ervin Busherd was born August 20, 1921 in Leahy, Wash. He passed away June 1, 2004.

Del graduated from Pateros High School. Shortly after graduating, he married Dorothy Petrie. Their first home was in Pateros, Wash. He served in the Navy and after his discharge, they moved to Moses Lake with their four children.

Del was also a volunteer fireman for Cascade Valley and 4-H leader for many kids. He was a carpenter by trade, a family man and a cowboy at heart. He worked for Block 40 Cattle Association for several years, at Leahy junction, before retiring.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy, son, Donald, and sisters, Alice McCalvey and Mildred Brownlie.

Del is survived by: his four loving children, Jerry Busherd, Bev Etter, Glenna Busherd-Reynolds and Lenora Carpenter; and 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

He will be greatly missed by family and friends.

The family will have a memorial service at Del's home, 3191 Bow Street in Moses Lake at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 5, 2004 with a luncheon following. They are asking to keep it casual and simple, the way Del would want it.
