Dale F. Emry

Dale F. Emry, 95, longtime Moses Lake resident, passed away Monday, May 31, 2004 at SunBridge Care and Rehabilitation Center in Moses Lake.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 4, 2004 at Kayser's Chapel of Memories. Interment will follow in Pioneer Memorial Gardens, Moses Lake.

Arrangements are in care of Kayser's Chapel and Crematory, Moses Lake. Viewing will take place at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 5-7 p.m.

Dale was born to Frank and Lydia Emry in Waterbury, Neb. on October 19, 1908, the youngest of his four brothers, Clarence, Earl, Ralph and Lloyd, and three sisters, Alta, Elsie and Inez.

He attended school and helped on the family farm in Allen, Neb., where they made their living in the days when horses were used for farming and transportation.

He married Ruby Roberts on December 27, 1933 in Allen, where they attended the Friends Church. They moved to Washington state in the spring of 1936 in a Model T Ford with $55. Dale worked in a sawmill and owned an orchard in Oroville, worked for Safeway in Ellensburg and Kent and retired in 1971. In 1980, they moved to Moses Lake, just before the Mt. St. Helen's eruption.

Dale was a member of several Assembly of God churches where he served the many different areas of service.

Dale enjoyed being involved at the Kent and Moses Lake senior centers. He enjoyed golfing, watching the Seattle Mariners, and most of all, his family. He was known for his quick wit with his many friends.

Dale is survived by: his four daughters, Anita McIntosh (Dwaine) of Moses Lake, Wash., Maxine Huff of Tulsa, Okla., Colene Henning (Gerald) of Portland, Ore., and Rita Tuller of Ephrata, Wash.; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife in September 1990, brothers, sisters and his parents.
