Vera E. Noonan

Vera E. Noonan, 85, longtime Moses Lake resident, passed away Friday, July 23, 2004 at Samaritan Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 28, 2004 at the Moses Lake Assembly of God Church with Pastor Devon Wood officiating.

Interment will follow at Pioneer Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday until 7 p.m. and Tuesday from 8 a.m.-7 p.m.

Arrangements are in care of Kayser's Chapel and Crematory, Moses Lake.

Vera was born May 24, 1919 in Culdesac, Idaho, daughter of the late Bert and Iva (Sims) Myers. At an early age, she moved with her family to Toppenish, Wash. Vera stayed at home for many years to help raise her younger sister.

She was married to Lester "Les" M. Noonan on September 14, 1940 in Prosser, Wash. They lived in the Yakima Valley area until the early 1950s, when they moved their family to the Klamath Falls-Beatty, Ore. area, where they ranched.

A few years later they moved to Ephrata, continuing to ranch. They moved to Moses Lake in the mid-1960s where they had made their home ever since.

Les preceded Vera in death in 1991.

Vera's greatest love was her family and she especially loved the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed crocheting and making dolls.

She is survived by: two daughters and sons-in-law, Karla and Michael Greco of Las Vegas, Nev. and Vicki and Vince Friswold of Moses Lake; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Wanda and Bill Wentz of Yakima and Donna Wentz of Toppenish; five granddaughters and their spouses, Shonda and Terry Pfeil, Michelle and Steve Lattuca-Rainen, Ericka and Aaron Rice, Shannon and Dave Mosley and Erin and Gary Johnson; 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, Vera was also preceded in death by an infant brother, Harold Raymond, and one brother-in-law, Walt Wentz.
