Jack J. Weaver

| July 20, 2004 9:00 PM

Jack was born February 16, 1916 in Minot, ND to Jack P. and Elizabeth Weaver.

He was stationed in Guam and on the Fiji Islands while in the U.S. Army during World War II. After living briefly in Michigan, he worked, in his younger days, as a logger in and around International Falls, Minn. In later years, he worked as a carpenter in the Moses Lake area with Local #1849, working on commercial construction projects from 1965 until he retired in 1980.

Jack and his wife, Delores, lived on recreational property around Porcupine Bay until 1999, when they moved back to Ephrata.

Jack liked to do gardening and loved to cut firewood (due to his lumberjack roots). Hunting and fishing were favorite activities and Jack was a hard worker right up to his last days. He passed away July 16, 2004 at Samaritan Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Patrick and Robert.

Jack is survived by: his wife, Delores Weaver of Ephrata; four sons, Alex and Carol Weaver of Ephrata, Jack and Patti Weaver of Pomeroy, Michael and Linda Weaver of Spokane, and William and Betsy Weaver of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Jack will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Private graveside services were held Sunday, July 18, 2004 at Benson's Pioneer Memorial Gardens, Moses Lake.

The honor of serving the Weaver family was given to Benson Family Funeral Service, Moses Lake.
