Linda Jean LaPlante

Linda Jean LaPlante, 52, passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2004 at her home in Ephrata, following a valiant battle with cancer.

Linda was born in Bellingham, Wash. on June 24, 1952 to Vernon and Clara Belle (Nelson) LaPlante. She grew up in Bellingham, where she graduated from high school and attended some college.

She enjoyed antiques, collectibles and especially costume jewelry. Linda opened The Treasure Chest in Soap Lake in the late 1980s. She later moved her shop to Ephrata, changing its name to Little Treasures.

Linda is survived by her longtime companion, Don Reynolds and her brother, Gary LaPlante.

A memorial service for Linda will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 17, 2004 at the Assembly of God Church, 319 Fifth Ave. SE in Soap Lake.
