Hubert L. Vogt

Hubert L. Vogt, 81, longtime Moses Lake resident, passed away Monday, July 5, 2004 at Samaritan Hospital. Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 10, 2004 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church with Monsignor Martin O. Skehan as celebrant.

Arrangements are in care of Kayser's Chapel and Crematory, Moses Lake.

Hubert was born May 7, 1923 in Chewelah, Wash. to the late Louis John and Jesse (Curl) Vogt.

He married Lila Naccarato in Chewelah on April 15, 1950. They moved to Moses Lake in 1955, where they have resided since.

Hubert was a World War II veteran and served his country from 1943 until 1946 in the Pacific at New Guinea and the southern Philippines.

Survivors include: his wife, Lila Vogt; a daughter, Linda Haft of Spokane, Wash.; a son, Lou Vogt and his wife, Sally of Seal Beach, Calif.; three grandchildren, Heather Kirkwood of Moses Lake and Jack and Nora Vogt of Seal Beach, Calif.; a great-grandchild, Hayden Kirkwood of Moses Lake; and a sister, Irene and her husband, Dave Johnson of Spokane.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers and a sister.
