Dorothy May Benedict

Dorothy Mae Benedict passed on to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on Saturday, June 26, 2004, the day of her 63rd wedding anniversary. She was born on March 19, 1921 in Selkirk, (Leoti) Wichita County, Kansas. She was the first child of Ruby Carolyn Wolfe (nee: Ulferts) and William Clarence Wolfe.

She is survived by: her husband, Lloyd Raymond Benedict; three children, Rosalee (Jerry) Stackhouse of Othello, Wash., David Benedict of Tacoma, Wash., and Sherry Benedict (Randy) Dodd of Tacoma, Wash.; six grandchildren, Yarrow Bates, MeLisa Bates, both of Tacoma, Kathleen (Don) Anderson, formerly of Omak and now of Anacortes, Wash., Dianna Garcia of Butte, Mont., Angel Stackhouse of Moses Lake, Wash., and Gina Yanez, also of Moses Lake; 11 great-grandchildren; one soon-to-arrive great great-granddaughter; brothers, William E. (Mary) Wolfe of Seattle, Wash., Lyle R. (Dorothy) Wolfe of Lincoln, Neb., Clarence A. (Lynn) Wolfe of Denver, Colo.; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Passing before her, in addition to her parents, was granddaughter, Jeri Ellen Stackhouse and brother, Norman E. Wolfe.
