Florence Ann Weaver

| July 5, 2004 9:00 PM

Florence Ann Weaver, 58, passed away June 30, 2004. She was a rural Ellensburg resident for over 40 years. Ann was born in Molalla, Ore. to Raymond and Betty (Johnson) Jessup on December 16, 1945.

Ann and Paul J. Weaver were married April 13, 1967 in Kellogg, Idaho. She was a ranch wife and devoted mother and grandmother.

Ann lived her married life helping her husband build a ranch. No job was too much for her, whether it was operating a tractor or baler, irrigating, working cattle or bringing new calves in to warm up. She did all tasks without complaints.

In addition to that, she still managed to cook, clean, maintain an immaculate home and yard, raise a family and for a while, she worked for Washington Beef and managed the office for the Ellensburg Sales Yard.

Ann loved her family and always put their needs ahead of hers. She was very kind and compassionate to all living creatures and lived her life with determined resolution and the belief that things would always get better. She was truly a woman extraordinaire.

Ann was active in youth activities when her children were growing up and for many years organized and participated in youth activities at the Kittitas County Fair. She had a wonderful artistic ability, particularly for arranging flowers for friends and family weddings, holidays and other gatherings. Her favorite holiday was Christmas and she delighted in decorating her home, inside and out.

She also enjoyed traveling and seeing different parts of the country, especially when she and Paul went to livestock events in places where she could play the slots.

She is survived by: her husband of 37 years, Paul J. Weaver; son, Clinton H. Weaver and daughter, Renee M. Poulsen (Tom); mother, Betty Williams; grandsons, Clay and Curtis Weaver and Austin Poulsen, all of Ellensburg.

There will be a memorial service on Wednesday, July 7, 2004 at 1 p.m. in the CMA Church in Ellensburg. A potluck will follow at the family home on Robbins Rd. Remembrances may be made to the Ellensburg Hospice group or your charity of choice.

Steward & Williams Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
