Two weeks ago we featured a mystery photo which pictured a portion of the Town of Krupp, above. Larry Lenz, a former resident of Krupp and now living in Spokane, answered with a description of the town with the houses shown in the photo. Today we continue with Larry's tour of the town:

"This bridge was about 200 feet to the west of the present day bridge.

"The road that runs north through town ran at about a 45 degree angle from where the city hall is today across this bridge to about 500 feet to the west of the old schoolhouse.

"This was the main road to Wilson Creek in those days. The Road that went up the north hill took off to the north several hundred feet past the north side of the bridge in the photo and went between the old school gym and the big yellow house that sits on the north hill today.

"By the way, the old gym used to be at the Wilson Creek School.

"When they got their new schoolhouse, the gym was built in the basement. Krupp needed a gym and they took the gym apart board by board and rebuilt it in Krupp in 1935.

"It must be mentioned that the road to Irby went behind the homes in the photo whereas today it goes in front of the homes. In the early days the road that went to these homes in the mystery photo ran in front of or on the South side of the home that you see just a portion of in the photo.

"Today the main road that runs north through town goes past the right side of this home. My Grandfather and Grandmother Hoover, Mom's Folks, lived in this house when I lived in Krupp.

"Now the hills you see in the background. My neighbor friend Chuck and I had a secret hideout up there in those hills some place. I still have a drawing of the map that shows how to get to our secret hideout." The Krupp Kid, Larry C. Lenz

Thanks for sharing, Larry.
