Dolores (Fairbanks) Lewis

Dolores D. (Fairbanks) Lewis, 73, of Palm Desert, Calif., died December 1, 2004 in Rancho Mirage. She was born December 1, 1931 to Maynard and Edna Calbow Bainbridge in Illinois.

She married Dr. Jerry C. Fairbanks and they moved to Moses Lake, Wash. in the early 1950s. They were married for 16 years and together they raised five boys.

She married Robert Lewis on August 3, 1968 in Seattle, Wash.

Dolores was a homemaker, a loving mother of five boys and a part-time bookkeeper. She was also a member of the Palm Desert Greens, Moses Lake Golf and Country Club and the Eastern Star. She loved to play golf and bridge.

She is survived by: her husband of 36 years, Robert Lewis of Palm Desert; four sons, Kevin M. Fairbanks of Royal City, Wash., Jerry M. Fairbanks of Moses Lake, Neal W. Fairbanks of Quincy, Wash. and Scott C. Fairbanks of San Francisco, Calif.; three stepdaughters, Leslie Piper of Royal City, Louise Lewis of Edmonds, Wash. and Linda Kinney of Seattle; 10 grandchildren and two great-granchildren; sister, Joanne De Vries of New Lennox, Ill.; and three brothers, Bill Bainbridge of Monee, Ill., Bud Bainbridge of Washington and John Bainbridge of Chino, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Maynard and Edna Bainbridge, former husband, Dr. Jerry C. Fairbanks and son, Keith Fairbanks PAC.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, December 17, 2004 at the First Presbyterian Church in Moses Lake, located at 1142 Ivy Ave.
