Ken Dagenette, 75, longtime Moses Lake resident and area home builder, passed away Wednesday morning at his home.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, August 16, 2004 at Lake City Foursquare Church with Pastor Dave Chandler officiating.

Ken was born March 21, 1929 in Miami, Okla., to the late Noel and Norma (Tatham) Dagenette. While he was a young boy, the family moved to California, where Ken later met and married his wife Wilma Bramblett.

Ken was a member of the National Guard, and during the Korean War he served his country in the U.S. Army at Fort Ord, leaving the service as a sergeant.

Ken worked in the construction industry most of his life, and he and the family lived in California, Oregon, and Alaska before moving to Moses Lake in 1978, where they continued to operate a family-owned construction company.

In July of 2000, Ken and Wilma celebrated 50 years of marriage. Ken loved to travel, and he and Wilma enjoyed many cruises, as well as driving trips around the country.

Although Ken has gone home to a better place, those he left behind still love him and will miss him until they are reunited in Heaven.

Catherine Percy of California and Carol Steinberg of Moses Lake; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Ken was preceded in death by his sister, Virginia Carpenter of Michigan.

For anyone wishing to make a charitable donation in lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Healing Rooms, 112 E. First Avenue, Spokane, WA 99202.
