Fredrece "Freddie" Mae Bodie

Fredrece "Freddie" Mae Bodie, age 81, died at Manor Care Nursing Home in Lynnwood, Wash. on Tuesday, August 10, 2004. She was born to Fred and Lolita (Johnston) Sinclair on May 8, 1923 in Tacoma, Wash.

Freddie was raised in Seattle, graduating from West Seattle High School and attending the University of Washington (UW). She took several drama classes at the UW, where she participated in several productions at the school's Showboat Theatre. She also performed in several productions at the Seattle Repertory Theatre.

Fredrece married Leon Bodie in San Francisco, Calif. on December 14, 1945. They settled in Moses Lake, Wash. in 1951, where they remained until Leon's death in 1998.

Leon and Freddie loved their community and loved to travel.

She is survived by: her children, Noel E. LaBruce of Lynnwood and Heather J. Cole and her husband, Jerome of Edmonds, Wash.; and two grandchildren.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Those desiring to remember Fredrece through memorial gifts may make them in her name to Alzheimer's Research or the American Diabetes Association.
