Jeanne Marie Dorow, 59, of Othello, Wash. passed away on April 21, 2004. Her death, as her life, will be remembered as a gift of love by all who were blessed to know her.

Jeanne was born the second of eight children to Eugene and Bernadette Baemmert on December 7, 1944, in Milwaukee, Wisc. Her father preceded her in death.

Her childhood was spent surrounded by family in West Allis, Wisc. She graduated from high school in Milwaukee and went on to undergraduate work in music education, which she completed in 1966 at Alverno College in Milwaukee.

In 1967 she married her soul mate, Ernest Dorow. In 1972 they moved to Othello and set up their dental practice, which she managed for 32 years. She was very involved in the community. Jeanne shared her gifts of music and theater through the Othello Choral-Orchestra Society as a founding member. She performed in 25 Christmas Cantatas from 1978 to 2003. Jeanne was also involved in 18 musicals productions with the Society, including "The Sound of Music", "The Music Man", "Nunsense" and many others.

Jeanne was a 31-year member of Beta Sigma Phi, a women's sorority which promotes social, educational and cultural interests. She achieved lifetime membership and held the highest degree within the sorority as a Laureate member. Jeanne had been given the Silver Circle and The Order of the Rose, both long-standing member awards.

Her love of music and community was only surpassed by a lifetime love of the outdoors. Jeanne spent countless hours camping, boating, hunting and especially fishing with family and friends.

Jeanne devoted her life to her husband, Ernest Dorow, her two sons, Christopher (Genna) and Kevin (Angie), her daughter Kelly (Kurtis), her three grandsons, KJ, Dakota Hunter, and Ethan, and her granddaughter, Demi Gean.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on May 1, 2004 at 1 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Othello, Wash.
