SEATTLE (AP) — Vladimir Guerrero hit a three-run homer and Garret Anderson connected twice, leading the Anaheim Angels to a 10-7 win over the Seattle Mariners on Wednesday night.

Guerrero hit a 428-foot shot to center in his second at-bat, his first homer with the Angels after leaving Montreal to sign a $70 million, five-year contract in the offseason.

The All-Star slugger went 3-for-4 and scored three times, finishing a triple short of the cycle. He drew a two-out walk in the fourth before Anderson's first homer.

Jarrod Washburn (1-0) struck out six in 5 1-3 innings, helping him hold a big lead despite giving up six runs and 10 hits. He left after his 101st pitch, with the Angels up 9-5.

Ben Weber and Francisco Rodriguez combined for 2 2-3 innings of solid relief before Troy Percival pitched a perfect ninth for his first save.

The Angels led 8-0 in the fourth after Anderson drove a 1-0 pitch from Joel Pineiro (0-1) over the wall in right-center.

However, Seattle rallied with four runs in the fourth, pulling to 8-4 on Dan Wilson's bloop RBI single to center. Rich Aurilia hit a two-run double and Bret Boone had an RBI double.

Boone hit a two-out solo homer in the fifth, trimming the margin to 8-5, before Anderson hit his second homer in the sixth. He lined a shot off reliever Kevin Jarvis just over the reach of leaping right fielder Ichiro Suzuki.

The Mariners weren't finished, though.

Seattle scored twice in the sixth, getting to 9-7, and had the potential tying run at second when Boone struck out to end the threat.

The Angels added an unearned insurance run in the eighth when Guerrero scored on Jose Guillen's grounder to third.

Guerrero was caught in a rundown, but reliever Rafael Soriano dropped the ball on the tag at the plate.

Guerrero's homer made it 5-0 in the second, and it was 6-0 well before sunset after Jose Molina hit an RBI double to left.

After getting 12 hits in their season-opening win Tuesday, the new-look Angels continued to show their power. They had 16 hits this time, and their three homers boosted their two-game total to six.

Pineiro pitched four innings, allowing eight runs on nine hits with six strikeouts and four walks.

Notes: After a fifth-inning single by 2B Adam Kennedy, every Angels batter had at least one hit. … Edgar Martinez followed Boone's homer with a ground-rule double, giving him 492 two-baggers in his 16-year career. … Washburn's .582 winning percentage (57-41) moved him ahead of Bert Blyleven (.579, 33-24) for the career lead among Angels pitchers with at least 50 decisions. … Anderson has 10 multihomer games. He also hit two homers at Safeco Field on July 3, 2000.
