Warden — The Warden City Council signed a resolution in support of the Criminal Justice Funding, during a regular city council meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 10. No members of the public commented on the resolution. INVITATION FOR BIDS STANDPIPE #4 PROJECT- 2019 Othello, Washington Sealed bids will be received at the Othello City Hall, located at 500 East Main Street, Othello, Washington 99344 until September 17, 2019 at 2:00 pm, for the above-named improvement. Said bids will be opened and publicly read at the time. All bids shall be received before said opening time in sealed envelopes with STANDPIPE #4 PROJECT - 2019 marked plainly thereon. Plans and specifications may be obtained at no cost via electronic transmission from the City of Othello. Paper copies of the plans and specifications may also be obtained from the City at the above address for a non-refundable fee of $60.00 per set. Robert Gene Moyer
Robert (Bob) Gene Moyer peacefully went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2019, surrounded by his loving family at his home. Bob was born to Otis and Helen Moyer on Dec. 21, 1944, in Ritzville, Washington. He was one of seven children. As a young man, he attended elementary school in Moses Lake and graduated from Moses Lake High School in 1963. Bob went on to attend Eastern Washington University and Gonzaga University. He graduated from Gonzaga with a degree in electrical engineering. Bob joined the U.S. Army in August of 1966 and proudly served his country in Okinawa, Japan, and Thailand in Southeast Asia. He completed his military deployment and returned home in June of 1969. Bob worked for Swartz Electric in Moses Lake for a time, then moved to Homer, Alaska where he worked for Homer Electric. In 1976 he moved back to Moses Lake and opened Moyer Electric and Engineering. He worked as a local electrical contractor until he retired in 2007 at the age of 62.
