Juanita Antonette Foosnes
Juanita Antonette Foosnes, 23 passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 26, 2008, at her home in Ephrata. Juanita was born Aug. 29, 1984, in Los Angeles, Calif., to Antonio Piloto and Gail Johnson. Juanita moved to Anchorage, Alaska with her family when she was 4 years old and there, she graduated from high school. Shortly after graduation, she moved to Ephrata, where she had lived since, with her husband Harry Foosnes III and their children Harry Antonio Foosnes IV, Lydia Denise Foosnes and Bianca Marie Foosnes. Juanita’s children were her life and she very much enjoyed making scrapbooks, treasuring every remembered moment. Juanita is also survived by her mother, Gail Johnson, of Moses Lake, brothers Dan Jackson, Doug Pain and Lacey Johnson, her aunt, Sandra Johnson and cousins, Trayvone, Morrisette and James Johnson. Preceding Juanita in death are her grandmother, Johnetta Marie Johnson, and her uncle and aunt, Lacey and Lydia Denise Brown. A memorial service will be held Friday, Aug. 1 at 1 p.m. at Benson Funeral Home, 104 W 5th Avenue, Moses Lake with Oscar Ochoa officiating.

Wesley Greenwalt
Wesley Greenwalt, age 46, passed away on July 25, 2008, in Spokane. He was born on July 31, 1961, in Odessa to David and Leota (Sackmann) Greenwalt. He graduated from Odessa High School in 1980. He was a member of the Zion Emmanuel Lutheran Church and was an avid WSU Cougar fan. Wesley lived in the Odessa area until serious health problems forced him to move to Cooper George Assisted Living in Spokane about seven years ago. Wesley is survived by his parents, David and Leota Greenwalt, grandmother Emma Deife, two brothers, Bradley A. Greenwalt and Jeffrey Greenwalt, all of Odessa, as well as several cousins, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jacob and Lydia Greenwalt and August Sackmann, his nephew August (Gus) Greenwalt and his uncle Melvin Greenwalt. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, Aug. 1 at 11 a.m. at Zion Emmanuel Lutheran Church with Pastor Barry Warpness officiating. Concluding services and vault interment will follow at Odessa Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Zion Emmanuel Lutheran Church or to the Ronald McDonald House. Strate Funeral Home, Davenport, Wash., is caring for the family.
Clarance Martin Koepke
Clarance Martin Koepke passed away on July 21, 2008, after an accident. He died at Harbor View Medical Center of a heart condition. He was bom in Omak, Wash., on Aug. 16, 1944. His family moved to Riverside Wash.., where he spent most of his life. Then he moved to Okanogan, Wash., where he has spent the last few years. He enjoyed his family as well as fishing, hunting and camping. He was a well-known man throughout his lifetime. He spent a lot of time with family and friends carnping and going on fishing trips. He was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Ruth Koepke. Survivors include his children, Colleen Koepke, Ann Koepke, and Denise Wood, sister Alice Koepke and grandchildren. Clarance will be remembered by family and friends. Memorial will be held at a further date.

Robert Lee Jamison passed away peacefully from brain cancer at LakeRidge Special Care Center on the morning of July 17, 2008, with his loving family at his side. Elda Haslam Wright, 89, passed away in East Wenatchee on Tuesday, July 8, 2008, from causes incidental to old age. She was born April 22, 1919, in Leavitt, Alberta, the daughter of Samuel Redford Haslam and Eliza Charlotte Broadbent. She married Chester Dean Wright on July 31, 1940, in the Alberta Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He passed away Sept. 18, 1984. Ruth (Anderton) English, age 90, Coulee City resident since 1986, passed away Friday, July 4, 2008, at Lake View Home Care in Moses Lake. She was born Sinda Ruth, one of six children, on Dec. 16, 1917, in Roosevelt, Utah to Albert Roy and Louella Chloe (Fullmer) Anderton. She graduated from Roosevelt High School. She married Delmer M. English on June 28, 1939, in Humboldt County, California. They lived in California, Oregon, Utah, Idaho and settled in Fall City, Wash., where Delmer worked at Todd Ship Yards. CORVALLIS - Moses Lake continued its seven-game road trip by falling prey to the Corvallis Knights over the Fourth of July weekend. The Pirates dropped all three games at Corvallis's at Goss Stadium. Duplex Fire
Grant County Fire District No. 5 responded to a duplex fire at 11:47 a.m. Monday on Westover Boulevard near Moses Lake. It appears a ceiling fan in the bathroom started the fire and the tenant living there called 9-1-1 right away, said Battalion Chief Leonard Johnson. The fire was contained to the bathroom and there was minimal smoke damage, he said.
