WA Congressional members ask Biden for disaster declaration for Colville tribes
COLVILLE – In a unified effort, U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell, D-WA, U.S. Senator Patty Murray, D-WA, U.S. Representative Cathy McMorris Rodgers, R-WA, and U.S. Representative Dan Newhouse, R-WA, have sent a bipartisan letter to President Joe Biden, advocating for a Major Disaster Declaration for the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation following extensive wildfire damage this summer.

Fish and Wildlife to use drones to monitor pygmy rabbits
QUINCY — The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife will add drones to its list of tools to monitor pygmy rabbit populations in Central Washington. Drone flights will start in December and continue through October 2026, according to a WDFW press release.

Snow, wind and rain forecast for Basin
MOSES LAKE — All things considered, it might just be best to stay home Tuesday night and add a little time to any travel plans Wednesday morning, even if it’s just to work. Snow is coming – not a lot of snow is forecast for Moses Lake and points south, but wind is coming along with the snow.
Black Friday fish have been stocked across WA
OLYMPIA – The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife is stocking 24 lakes with over 65,000 rainbow trout for Black Friday fishing. The fish measured longer than 14 inches and weighed around three pounds each, according to WDFW.
