Southwest 12, Riverdogs (Pacific Northwest) 8
BISMARCK, N.D. — The Columbia Basin 15U team made a late run to trim the deficit against the Southwest team, but were unable to even the score. The Riverdogs moved to 1-1 in pool play at the Babe Ruth World Series after Friday’s 12-8 loss.
Southwest jumped out to a 3-0 lead after the first inning, adding a run in the top of the second to go up four runs. The Riverdogs cut the lead to just one in the bottom of the inning before taking the lead with two runs in the third inning.
The lead was short-lived as the Southwest team retook the lead in the fourth to go up 6-5. A six-run fifth inning helped them pull away from the Riverdogs with some breathing room. Three runs in the bottom of the sixth trimmed the lead to four, but the Pacific Northwest team was unable to cut the lead any further.
Seth Olson and Jack Morrill each notched a pair of hits for the Riverdogs, who knocked 10 hits as a team in the game. Jacob Martinez and Tyson Martinez each finished with a pair of RBIs as well. The Riverdogs finished with five errors in the field.
Southwest knocked 13 hits in the win, with just three errors as a team.

Riverdogs 10, China 10 (postponed)
The Riverdogs third game in Bismarck was postponed after moving into extra innings on Sunday afternoon. The game will pick up in the bottom of the eighth inning. The Pacific Northwest squad was able to score a pair of runs in the top of the seventh inning to force the game into extra innings before being delayed.
